Hartwig Scholarship Fund
The Hartwig Scholarship fund was established with a donation from the Mona and Betty Hartwig family to support college scholarships to 4-H members pursuing a post high school degree. Only the interest from this donation shall be used for scholarships. Each year, any interest accrued and not used towards scholarship payments shall be added to the principal of the fund. The Foundation Scholarship committee may annually set the amount and number of scholarships issued from this fund. If no new decision is made by the Scholarship Committee, the amount and number of scholarships shall be the same as the previous year.
Naomi Cody Camp Scholarship Fund
The Naomi Cody Camp Scholarship Fund shall provide a scholarship for one Macon County 4-H member to attend 4-H Memorial Camp. This scholarship shall be awarded based on need. Each year, any interest accrued and not used towards scholarship payments shall be added to the principal of the fund.
4-H Undergraduate College Scholarship Fund
The 4-H Undergraduate College Scholarship Fund shall be created to fund $4,000 scholarships to current and former 4-H members pursuing a post secondary education. Recipients receive $500 each semester upon receipt of their grade report. Only the interest from this donation shall be used for scholarships. A total of ten recipients shall receive this scholarship each year. Additional guidelines for this scholarship are available in the Macon County 4-H Undergraduate College Scholarship Guidelines. Additional monies needed to cover this scholarship shall come from unrestricted funds.
W.E. Meyer Scholarship Fund
The W.E. Meyer Scholarship Fund shall be created to fund a $300 scholarship to a Macon County 4-H member who is also an outstanding agriculture college bound freshman. Only the interest from this fund shall be used for scholarships. Each year, any interest accrued and not used towards scholarship payments shall be added to the principal of the fund.
Stuart Hawbaker Leadership Fund
The Stuart Hawbaker Leadership Fund shall be created to fund special projects as determined by the Foundation. Each year, any interest accrued and not used towards a source determined by the Foundation shall be added to the principal of the fund. The fund shall maintain a minimum balance of $1000.
Land of Lincoln Friend of Agriculture Scholarship
The Land of Lincoln Friend of Agriculture Scholarship is a four-year, $500 per semester scholarship awarded to two students in Macon County pursuing a degree in agriculture or a related field. The Macon County 4-H scholarship application must be submitted for consideration of this award.
